Cloudburst
Eight speaker surround-sound installation 4 minutes 2005

Individual drops of water land on a variety of different surfaces – glass, paper, concrete etc. Each droplet is carefully timed, layered and placed in space. Around 200,000 drops fall in a period of four minutes, the sounds slowly reaching a crescendo of multi-textured rain.
